In 2003, Justin Svatina and Don Nguyen founded Dom Rebel with a specific concept: to bring a new element of excitement to men's contemporary fashion with a strong meaning behind it. The brand, who's name stems from the Latin Dominus Rebellis (Master of Rebellion), stands for "Freedom of Mind - Liberty of Thought," suggest that no matter the circumstance, we are entitled to our own beliefs and thoughts. Inspired by the dimensions of the male ego, the Dom Rebel collections feature hand-drawn artwork and take a satirical approach to bringing across their underlying messages of freedom and rebellion. With an obsession over details, every garment is treated like a blank canvas and turned into a veritable work of art by the hands of a small team of artisans in Montreal. "Our goal is to get men excited about getting dressed in the morning or before going out, and influence their style decisions, but to remind them that personal style and individuality are paramount."
